NEW COLUMN FOR MOTHER’S DAY!

My latest “The Thinking Parent” column for Parents Canada is near and dear to my heart. The great author and feminist Adrienne Rich reminds us, we all are “of woman born.” That said, Mother’s Day can be a complicated and often difficult occasion for many. “What is the Motherline? How to Find and Celebrate Yours” was written to bring hope, comfort, empowerment and joy to readers.

“The Thinking Parent” Column Launch with Parents Canada!

Excited and proud to join the Parents Canada team with my new column — “The Thinking Parent!” This first entry kicks things off with a bang and discusses Matricentric Feminism — a feminism for and about mothers.

Mothers matter. 80% of women become mothers at some point in their lives. Yet the private and public sphere do not provide the recognition, support or resources for the talent, skill and intelligence this job requires.
