Dinner Party Killjoy Blog

Handwritten Text" Dinner Party Killjoy with a blue balloon about to be poppwed

As a graduate student, I am often reminded of the academic bubble I inhabit – most apparent at dinner parties when I share my research and eyes glaze over. But I was recently reminded by one of my professors that because so much of what is discussed in the hallowed halls of academia stays there, nothing changes. So, if being a dinner party killjoy is the price I must pay to mobilize knowledge in support of women, girls, mothers, and birth mothers in the foster care system, so be it.

I truly hope you in-JOY reading my Dinner Party Killjoy blog. If not, just be grateful I didn’t ruin your dinner party!
